Burnt

Burnt is a web3 foundry launching their own l1. I designed and built their digital brand ecosystem and launched creative projects to extend their audience.
Brand Extension
My first project with burnt was to take the branding created by sunday afternoon and expand it to the web. I explored a wide variety of solutions to discover how best to tell their story. Their branding was built on a rich love of historical artwork and literature — we tried to bring many references of that rich history into the designs.
From generative imagery to editorial dialogues, I built out a variety of tools to help them create narratives. With the ever-evolving community dialogues of web3, I built a flexible environment for them to comment on the daily happenings through subtle art choices.
As their company and product offering grew, their branding system needed to expand to scale. As they created internal initiatives and external products, they needed a system of logos to support sub-brands, products, and new business units.








Xion Launch
Their first major launch was Xion, a blockchain that powers their web3 infrastructure. We built out a multi-site structure to house the growing number of digital pieces. Allowing the Burnt brand to be the parent to their multi-faceted projects, we designed xion with its own branding language to give it a stand-alone identity.



Studio
The second major launch was the addition of burnt studio — the marketing arm of the company aimed at developing business and consumer level use cases for web3. Their goal was to lower the barrier of entry for consumers who haven't fully bought into web3 yet.
Utilizing the technology the Xion team was building, studio built creative wrappers and engaging frameworks to help sell future ideas.




Exodvs Product Design
Exodvs was Burnts first consumer-facing product, aimed at building spaces for creators and their fans to own a seat at the table together. Designed with brands and individuals in mind, we built out a mini-universe for the interconnected web they were developing. I designed the product ux and ui of exodvs along with the access passes that were created upon joining a house.

United Sodas first reached out to me in 2019 to design and build their Ecomm site - Since that initial project I became more ingrained in the day to day of the brand. Working closely with Center Design to help extend the original brand, I was the creative director until 2023. Working with every part of the brand, I helped guide multiple teams to create this beautiful brand.

In 2012, Brandon Iffert and I started making websites together. We have had the chance to build for some amazing clients of the last 10 years.
Desgin Gin is an 'American Modern' gin created by myself and Alex Levin in March of 2015. From a simple, semi-drunken misspelling, an idea was born to create a brand with and for fellow creative people. The work here is but a small segment of the work I've done with the brand.
In 2012, Brandie Gehan reached out to me to build an identity for her new tableware company. I worked as the creative director for the following 4 years, leading a team of 10 who were responsible for production and marketing.
